PART 2 - the purpose of training is to reinforce what was learnt in FACT 1 and to extend the skill set to more complex patients.
Skills covered:
- FACT 2 goes into case conceptualisation for a FACT consultation
-the role of context in dealing with patient response
- looks at functional analysis (the function of anxiety and function of distress etc)
- work-love-play as Te Whare Tapa Whā model and
-the new ACT process-based therapy which focuses on connecting to the patient from a heart to heart rather than a head to heart or head to head process.
-what to handle the “what’s the point” discussion touching on existential advice
-the stall button test for self-compassion
-FACT suicide assessment
-Magic button and magic dial )not ACT but from TEAM CBT but very powerful
-values assessment
