Introducing a three-part interactive webinar series on Lifestyle Medicine presented by Dr Sam Manger.
Each session will be comprised of one hour presentation/discussion and up to one hour Q&A. We recommend joining all sessions, but each session can joined stand-alone.

 

24th February         Part one: A new era in chronic disease management

10th March             Part two: Assessing and prescribing in clinical practice

17th March             Part three: Implementing Models of Care in primary care

 

Lifestyle Medicine is an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare with a focus on addressing behavioural, social, and environmental impacts on health to transform the way we manage, treat and prevent chronic conditions. It encourages self-empowerment and self-efficacy in patients to manage and improve their own health.

This webinar series is presented by Dr Sam Manger, who is a clinical and academic GP with a focus on lifestyle and social determinants. He is the Academic Lead of the Postgraduate Degrees in Lifestyle Medicine at James Cook University College of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as the Immediate Past-President of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. He is an Ambassador for the Federal Government initiative Equally Well Australia, Advisory Group Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, host of The GP Show podcast for health professionals and was awarded the RACGP QLD GP of the Year in 2021.
